A simple example of the production of a prototype
Let's look at a practical example where we need a simple adapter from a vacuum hose to a built-in pipe.
We need to know the dimensions, specifically the outer diameter of the hose and the inner diameter of the pipe. Ideally, we use calipers for measurement, but a regular measuring tape will also suffice.
We design the adapter with an optimal wall thickness and shape in a CAD program and then print it.
The finished adapter is checked, measured, and tested.
This particular one was designed to fit tightly and precisely without the use of glue, silicone, or tape.
Similar reducers and transitions are sometimes difficult to buy or find. Such 3D printing production is very suitable and quick for these types of applications.
